Challenge:
The primary challenge of the 'Byrne Project' was twofold: firstly, the need to create a home connected to an already developed small two story structure with concreate and plastering all ready in place in the exterior.
Secondly, the project required innovative solutions to integrate sustainable, eco-friendly building practices, our client was adament he wanted a new approach to building and wanted to utilise eco friendly concepts.
Our Solution:
Our approach began with extensive consultation with our client, assiting him with his architect and local planners in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon council.
The clients wish was to use Insulating concrete form or insulated concrete form (ICF) which is a system of formwork for reinforced concrete usually made with a rigid thermal insulation that stays in place as a permanent interior and exterior substrate for walls, floors, and roofs.
In terms of sustainability, we implemented cutting-edge green technologies. This included the installation of solar panels on an exterior garage. Our construction methods prioritised energy efficiency and minimal environmental impact, utilizing locally sourced materials and reducing waste through precise planning and execution.
